Anonymous: It's really inspiring that all of you guys keep up with dance even though some of you are in school and some of you work...what do you do for a living and how do you manage to balance your life?

Thank you for your kind words. It’s always a trip when someone says that we inspire since, personally, I’m always on the lookout for inspiration and ways to better myself.

As of right now, I am a full time dancer. By that I am referring to my mentality, not my profession. I try to prioritize my life in such a way that  will allow me to dance freely (as in, not for the purpose of income) as often as possible.

My crewmate Chris inspired my faith that when you have your life in order, you will have room to pursue your passion unburdened. Dance is an extremely important, yet small part of my life. I find that when I focus too heavily on dance and neglect the other elements in my life, my art is saddled with the imperfections brewing in the back of my mind.

Friends and family alway come first, bills have to be paid, sacrifices and compromise must be made. Every single piece of the puzzle is essential in creating the big picture, and that requires a sense of consistency. I believe I must pursue every aspect of life with the same amount of respect I give dance.

With that being said, I am currently looking for a job that will allow me to be flexible in my passion and schedule while I perform with the crew, and allow me to sustain comfortable and independent living conditions.
